How to apply
- How you are experiencing hardship that is unexpected or exceptional
- A brief budget and details of your income source/s
- What you need help with and how much you need
- Any quotes, copies of invoices or documents that will support your application
- Your bank account details, including a copy of your bank statement, making sure to include the bank’s logo, your account’s full name and your account number
2024 opening date: The Manaaki Financial Support Grant will open on Monday 29 January 2024.
- Course-related costs, including fees
- Fines and loan repayments
- Bond and associated costs such as letting fees and rent in advance
- Recreational memberships
- Ongoing financial support
- Costs incurred prior to studying here

Grant and committee dates
The Grant committee meets every Monday and Thursday morning to assess applications. If you are approved for a grant and we have all the information we need, a payment will usually be made the next working day.
Please note: Grant dates are subject to change and may be impacted by events such as Public Holidays and campus closures.
