Hospitality and Culinary Art

Chef or Waiter for a Day
The Chef or Waiter for a Day experience is perfect if you're a year 11-13 student. You'll be working at the Windows student training restaurant. As a waiter for a day/night, you'll help set the restaurant for service, greet customers, and help serve meals. As a chef for a day, you'll get to help prepare lunch for guests.

Chef for a Night
If you're aged 20 or over, come and spend the evening in our kitchen. As a chef for a night, you could be preparing and cooking dishes from either the larder, hot kitchen or pastry section of the kitchen.
Waiter for a Night
If you're aged 20 or over, come and spend the evening in our training restaurant.
The class begins at 3pm with setting the restaurant for service, and customers arrive from 6.30pm onwards. We would suggest you wear a black shirt or blouse, black trousers or skirt and black shoes if possible. You will be working alongside students and have the support of a Wintec tutor.
