This module aims to provide the student with an advanced understanding of a range of cloud based software applications sourced from the Internet can be used as a collaborative productivity tool across all curriculum areas to enhance the administrative, teaching and learning process in a classroom school setting. This module will demonstrate how teachers and their students can use cloud based applications in their school and classroom to manage & engage their students in the learning process.

Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this module students will be able to:

1.Demonstrate competency in the application and use of a range of cloud based generic application software in their school/classroom.

2.Use the features of the generic cloud based application software and demonstrate how these tools can be used in the classroom for administrative and planning purposes.


3. Utilise the features of the generic cloud based application software in the classroom across a range of curriculum areas.

4.Research the ways in which collaborative generic cloud based application software can be used in the classroom.
Content
Students will:
Fully explore the features of cloud based, collaborative software applications utilising a 'hands on' approach.

Students will explore and gain competency in:
- Accessing specific applications
-Working in a cloud based environment.
-Cloud based storage systems
-Safeguarding work in the cloud.
-Accessing documents via a variety of devices
-Sharing and collaborating in the cloud
-Creating educationally based documents

Fully explore and gain competency using the features of a generic integrated cloud based application software package (word processing, spreadsheet, forms, presentation and note management applications) utilising a 'hands on' approach.

Complete a range of activities for each of the cloud based applications
Students will engage in a variety of learning strategies

Students will develop the necessary skills to enable students to improving the educational outcomes of their students.

This will be achieved through completing a range of activities.

Develop the necessary skills to enable students to apply a range of cloud based collaborative applications to the development of a range of classroom activities, curriculum documents, teaching materials and record keeping documents in a classroom and administrative setting.

This will be achieved through a range of activities.

Critically analyse the variety of ways in which the generic cloud based application software is used in the classroom in relation to national curriculum frameworks.

Students will need to critically examine the essential skills and the essential learning areas and relate to the use of cloud based apps.
Teaching and Learning Strategy

Teaching and learning methods will involve theoretical and online sessions including tutorials, workshops, group activities, discussion, independent learning, and assignments.
