Aidan has been teaching students at Wintec for almost 15 years in subjects such as maths, physics, hydrology and geotechnical engineering – you know, the fun stuff.

A Principal Academic Staff Member in the Centre of Engineering and Industrial Design, Aidan studied as a coastal scientist and has been part of many teams at Wintec. Having investigated innovative teaching techniques and flexible learning strategies over the years, The Design Factory NZ marries all these previous learnings together, creating the perfect environment for education. 

Aidan likes to think outside the box, and encourages his students to do the same. This philosophy fits well with The Design Factory, where students will work in interdisciplinary teams to come up with innovative solutions to industry problems. 
Being passionate about working as part of a interdisciplinary team, Aidan is excited about Wintec’s take on The Design Factory NZ. He can’t wait to use creative thinking methods to develop the curriculum and see what the next generation of students come up with.
