- On successful completion of this course, aakonga will be able to:
1. Summarise the principles of kaitiakitanga, linking them to Te Ao Maaori and comparable concepts
from other worldviews.
2. Evaluate the impact of business and industry on people and the environment from a traditional
Maaori perspective.
3. Evaluate kaitiakitanga principles within the context of the current climate crisis.
4. Evaluate the application of kaitiakitanga principles in a business and/or enterprise context. - Content

- Learning and teaching methods will develop broad technical or theoretical knowledge, and select and apply solutions to mainly familiar problems using a range of relevant processes. Students will be self-managing within defined contexts and have some responsibility for the learning and performance of others.

- Assessment Criteria
- Assessment methods will be based on a portfolio of evidence – akonga will provide
evidence of meeting the learning outcomes including matauranga and tikanga in action by a range of methods including written, video, or journal. A Portfolio of Evidence will include a variety of assessments. These may include but are not limited
to written assessments, case studies, reports, presentations, tests, examinations, and practical assessments.
