- - Technical literature: including working drawings, manufacturers’ specifications, instruction drawings and specifications.
- Roles, responsibilities and documentation: Overview of functions and responsibilities. Professional responsibilities. Overview of critical path programming and monitoring, purpose and content of drawings, specifications including consent requirements, schedules of quantities.
- Communication, accuracy and appropriateness of information, meetings, conflict resolution, written and face-to-face interaction, current and emerging communication technologies, delegation, reporting lines, formal/informal meeting protocols, cultural protocols, Te Tiriti o Waitangi. - Learning Outcomes
- 1. Read and interpret technical literature used in the construction industry.
2. Define roles, responsibilities and documentation requirements in the construction industry.
3. Communicate effectively with parties in a construction contract. - Assessment Criteria
- Assessment in this course employs an achievement-based grading scheme. Aakonga will be advised of all matters relating to summative assessment prior to the start of the course.
