- - Types, working principles and maintenance of filters
- Repairing damaged pipe, replacement equipment
- Water and pressure loss, sealing leaks
- Restoring pipes
- Component check and clean
- System flush
- Replacing damaged components
- Daily inspections, identifying and reporting blocked emitters and leaks
- Diary of maintenance work
- Portable irrigation system; stop, move and start
- Maintain irrigation components, leak and pressure variation
- Measuring and recording emitter output per unit area - Teaching and Learning Strategy
- Theoretical face-to-face and online sessions including tutorials, workshops, group activities, discussion, workbooks, independent learning, and assignments.
- Assessment Criteria
- Assessment in this module is competency-based. In order to pass this module, students must attempt and meet all the requirements of the competency-based assessments including carrying out all tasks in a safe manner and to industry standard.
