The aim of this module is to examine indigenous plant communities; assess revegetation needs of a particular site; organise the plant material for revegetation; and implement revegetation.

Content
- Examine a plant community in terms of plant associations and the main plant species present.
- Describe the relationships between community members.
- Describe the process of plant succession, in relation to the plant community.
- Identify the site conditions influencing a natural, or semi-natural, plant community.
- Evaluate an example of a natural plant community and identify reason(s) for degradation or modification.
- Analyse site conditions that may influence revegetation.
- Identify site improvements needed.
- Compare the selected site with a less degraded site.
- Consult with local authorities and community, as appropriate, on the revegetation programme.
- Identify plant species requirements and source of local provenance plants.
- Identify possible revegetation strategies for the site.
- Formulate and document a revegetation strategy for site preparation, revegetation, and maintenance.
- Organise the supply of plant material to suit revegetation plan.
- Prepare the site for revegetation.
- Position plants, and plant to facilitate plant survival.

The portfolio of evidence is comprised of multiple components and will demonstrate the achievement of the required knowledge, competencies and capabilities across all learning outcomes.
