3. Dispose of surplus mix, decontaminate, clean and store equipment, and complete documentation.
Content
- Select personal protective equipment according to agrichemical requirements, and fit and use in accordance with NZS 8409:2004, and legislation.
- Prepare agrichemicals in accordance with NZS 8409:2004 and workplace procedures.
- Prepare agrichemical application equipment in accordance with NZS 8409:2004, and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Apply agrichemicals at the required rate in accordance with label requirements, and NZS 8409:2004.
- Apply agrichemicals on target, avoiding off target spray drift in accordance with NZS 8409:2004.
- Dispose of surplus mix in accordance with NZS 8409:2004.
- Decontaminate, clean and store, or dispose of, equipment associated with agrichemical application, in accordance with NZS 8409:2004.
- Complete documentation relating to agrichemical use in accordance with NZS 8409:2004.

Teaching and Learning Strategy
