Content: - Dedicated software packages and associated technologies
- Examples of industry problems requiring dedicated software solutions, and novel features of the software that provide these solutions
- Specialist uses of generic packages
- Introduction to software development: programmes, programme languages, and development
- Web page design and development
Learning Outcomes: LO1: Demonstrate the utilisation of a variety of specialist computer applications.
LO2: Manipulate and intrepret technical data using a computer application, and present technical results.
LO3: Develop and demonstrate a software solution using generic software e.g. spreadsheet, database.
LO4: Self-evulate performance in the application of IT to a technology task.
