- On completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Create an urban forest management project plan including implementation goals.
2. Analyse implementation of an urban forest management project and the impact on industry. - Content
- - Computer based tree inventory.
- Holistic amenity tree management from design concept, species selection, establishment and maintenance, through to replacement.
- Urban forestry.
- Species selection and management for timber productions.
- Environmental values of trees; including wildlife habit, erosion control, pollution control, CO2 sinks, shelter and conservation.
- Trees and utility services
- Tree protection on development sites
- Other products and values of trees.
- Management of trees for multiple purposes.
- Specific requirements of information; for public, ratepayers, corporate organizations, government organizations
- Sustainable land management.

- The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. Students need to pass all components of the portfolio with at least 50%, in order to pass this module.
