To enable students to develop the knowledge and skills required to design and develop effective graphics and animation, and to apply various visual effects for static graphics as well as create 2D animation.

- 1. Apply sketching and storyboarding techniques for media design
2. Create a Graphic composition using various graphics techniques and export to target delivery formats
3. Apply Animation principles and methods in the design and creation of 2D animation
4. Examine and Apply animation techniques to web development solutions - Content
- Relevant Multimedia Software Development packages such as (but not limited to):
- Graphics applications
- Animation tools and libraries
Vector and Bitmap Graphic Categories
Animation methods such as (but not limited to):
- Frame by frame
- Tweening object properties
- Sprite Animation
Scripting Languages and Animation libraries such as (but not limited to):
- Actionscript, Javascript, Createjs

Web delivery - Teaching and Learning Strategy
- Teaching methods will involve theoretical and practical classes which may include but not limited to lectures, class discussions, tutorials, case studies, simulations, computer laboratory work, group activities, face-to-face and online activities.
- Assessment Criteria
- In order to receive a passing grade, students must achieve a minimum 40% average over all supervised tests and achieve 50% overall for the module.
