- 1. Critically analyse theoretical models and conceptual frameworks and systems that s hape nursing and health care practice in the bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand.
2. Analyse and integrate relational practice, cultural safety, whanaungatanga and manaakitanga into nursing practice when working with whanau and health consumers.
3. Critically reflect on the impact of common, acute, traumatic and complex care needs on the health outcomes and quality of life of health consumers and their whanau throughout the lifespan.
4. Synthesise evidence-based knowledge of pathophysiological processes, physical and mental health assessment, and diagnostic reasoning in the development of differential and probable diagnoses for health consumers with common, acute, traumatic and complex care needs.
5. Demonstrate integrated evidence-based knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics and medicine management for health consumers with common, acute, traumatic and complex care needs.
6. Articulate critical reasoning and judgement that support the development of evidence-based therapeutic and recovery-focused nursing care in collaboration with the health consumer, whanau and the interprofessional team. - Content

- The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. Students need to provide evidence against all learning outcomes and gain an overall mark of 50% to pass this module.
