- 1. Apply evidence-based care pathways to contemporary models of care that guide practice and therapeutic relationships with health consumers, whanau and communities across the lifespan.
2. Demonstrate inter-professional collaboration within health and social services to meet health consumer, whanau and community needs.
3. Identify and support opportunities for health promotion through the development of partnerships with health consumers, whanau and / or community organisations. - Content
- Clinical Practicum – 300 hours assigned to the continuum of hauora, with a focus on developing nursing practice in relation to primary health care and health promotion. Includes two clinical practicum one of which is in a community mental health setting.
Hauora is a Maaori concept of well-being, which encompasses the physical, mental and emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of health, and is recognised by the World Health Organisation. - Assessment Criteria
- The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. Students need to provide evidence against all learning outcomes and gain 50% in the Evidence Portfolio and pass the Clinical Competence Assessment to pass this module.

Methods include workshops and practical classes, video conference tutorials, case-based learning, inquiry-based learning, group activities and discussion, supported online learning, e-portfolio, practice simulation.
