(Academic) (Level 5) Speaking

Prescription

This module aims to develop speaking skills to meet academic needs of students at a CEFR high B2 level. They will be able to use a range of more complex language fluently, accurately and effectively on a wide range of academic topics. Students will be able to express themselves clearly and with spontaneity.

Learning Outcomes: Participate and engage in an extended conversation on a topic, including proposing and recommending solutions to problems.
Demonstrate ability to express ideas and informed opinions with precision, presenting and responding to complex lines of argument convincingly.
Give an oral presentation on concrete and/or abstract topics based on research.
Content: Range Control

Assessment Criteria: The portfolio is comprised of multiple assessment tasks, not tests alone. To pass this module, students must attempt and pass all assessment tasks.
