1. Describe and explain the anatomy and physiology of the following organ systems: endocrine, reproductive, immune, lymphatic, nervous system including sense organs.
2. Describe the principles involved in genetics, metabolism and acid-base balance.
3. Describe and classify microorganisms, the process of transmission and describe infection control.
4. Describe and explain pharmacological concepts.
5. Demonstrate understanding of collection and interpretation of physiological indicators.

Assessment Criteria
The portfolio is comprised of multiple components. Students need to provide evidence against all learning outcomes and gain an overall mark of 50% to pass this module with a minimum mark of 40% in each part of the portfolio.
