- 1. Apply and evaluate clinical reasoning and decision-making frameworks that inform nursing practice with tangata whaiora.
2. Negotiate care and support underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi/The Treaty of Waitangi, in partnership with tangata whaiora and whanau.
3. Apply the principles of cultural safety and demonstrate an understanding of cultural responsiveness within mental health and addiction settings.
4. Reflect upon and analyse the effectiveness of nursing as part of the interprofessional health care team. - Content
- Clinical practicum in mental health and addiction settings including acute and continuing care.
- Assessment Criteria
- The portfolio is comprised of a Clinical Competence Assessment. Students need to provide evidence against all learning outcomes and pass each Clinical competency to pass this module. Students must complete a minimum of 224 hours of clinical practicum to be eligible to complete the Clinical Competence Assessment.
