Upon successful completion of this module students will be able to

1. Critically analyse organisational behaviour as a field of study
2. Analyse skills as practitioners of organisational theory and critically evaluate given situations/organisational problems utilising multiple perspectives.
3. Critically analyse selected issues, applications and future trends in the field of organisational behaviour

Content
Individual Behaviour
- Evaluation of individual differences in psychological contracts and implications for organisation behaviours
- Reliability and validity of measures of individual differences to organisational form, design and structure. For example the relationship between human individual learning and the concept of learning organisations.

Social Behaviour/Team Behaviour
- Team behaviour
- Team formation, development and life-cycles
- Behaviour in Teams
- Emergence of functional and dysfunctional roles in teams
- Team effectiveness and evaluation
- Team Designs such as self managed, virtual, boundaryless teams and the implications of these.
- Note the Leadership content has been removed as this is not a leadership course.
- Problem solving in organisations
- Problem solving issues in organisation design and structures
- Problem solving issues in culture and organisation development

Learning and Teaching Resource
Teaching will involve blended delivery methods incorporating theoretical and practical classes, face to face, lectures, tutorials, workshops, group activities, guest lecturers, field trips, role-play, video conferencing, and on-line delivery, as appropriate
Teaching and Learning Strategy
An extended reading list will be supplied by the lecturer at commencement of the module. This will be updated annually.
Assessment Criteria
In order to receive a passing grade, students must achieve a minimum 40% average over all supervised tests and achieve 50% overall for the module.
