2. Conduct a systematic overview of standards, languages and software used for e-Business

3. Analyse the requirements of an organisation's information systems and processes for e-Business and e-Commerce

4. Critically analyse e-Commerce sites and their associated processes

5. Critically analyse ethical and legal issues related to e-Commerce applications

Role of e-Business in the organisation and competitive advantage
- The organisation value chain and industry value systems
- The strategic importance of effective intra- and inter-organisational information transfer for competitive advantage
- The role of electronic systems for the transfer of information between the organisation's functional units
- The wider role of e-Business to support organisational functions for its commercial subset e-Commerce

Learning and Teaching Resource
Teaching methods will involve theoretical and practical classes, which may include but are not limited to lectures, tutorials, computer laboratory work, group activities and assignments

An extended reading list will be supplied by the lecturer at commencement of the module. This will be updated annually.
Assessment Criteria
In order to receive a passing grade, students must achieve a minimum 40% average over all supervised tests and achieve 50% overall for the module.
