Learning Outcomes
1. Evaluate the special needs and considerations with respect to development of exercise
and rehabilitation programmes for special population groups.

2. Develop programmes for a range of age groups and issues that will be effective and meet
professional standards.

3. Ability to keep a detailed journal of client progress by using reflective writing. The journal
will reflect sensitivity to both real world environment and academic rigour and indicate risks
and opportunities.

Cognitive, Psychological and Sensory disorders
Exercise considerations for: Children and Pregnant women
Teaching and Learning Strategy
Lectures will be used to introduce key themes and main topics to the students. Tutorial will develop concepts further through kinaesthetic or visual tasks. The assignments will encourage reflection on important concepts taught throughout the year.
Assessment Criteria
Candidates must achieve a minimum result of 40 in the final examination of this module. They must achieve a minimum C grade pass overall from assessments to receive a passing grade for this module.
