Function of cell components
Body tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle, nervous
Location of organs, organ systems and body cavities in companion animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, and birds)
Components and basic function of major body systems.

• Health and Hygiene
Normal Biological data for each species
Signs of health and ill health and appropriate action
Common infectious diseases in companion animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, and birds)
Preventative health for companion animals including routine vaccinations and parasite control options.
Diseases requiring animal isolation, including zoonoses
Isolation and barrier procedures to minimise spread of infectious disease - Teaching and Learning Strategy
