Vet Nursing and Animal Healthcare

Whether working in a veterinary clinic as a vet nurse, caring for animals in catteries, kennels, or pet stores, or working with rural animals in agriculture settings, a career in animal technology is a rewarding pathway for people with a passion for animals.

Our animal care course is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in caring for animals in environments such as pet stores, animal rescue centres, and boarding or day-care facilities. Vet nursing will develop your skills in caring, managing, handling, and nursing a range of companion animals in a clinical veterinary environment. Rural animal healthcare will see you on the frontline of care as a rural animal technician assisting rural veterinarians who tend to sick or injured animals.

All our qualifications are practical, giving you set hours in real-world environments. This allows you to put your theory to practice being hands-on and ensuring you leave Wintec equipped to enter the workforce.
