Katie Levendis

My name is Katie Levendis, and I am one of the Takawaenga Kaitiaki Wharepukapuka/Liaison Librarians. I am responsible for the Centre for undergraduate nursing and midwifery ākonga (learners). It is my job to help you with your library learning needs: navigating the library and library website, searching for and identifying good quality resources, and using databases. I also teach research skills, information literacy, and APA referencing.

My educational background is in languages, linguistics and research, and I have worked in various libraries around Waikato. I have the unlikely distinction of having studied at every university on the North Island, so I am familiar with getting used to new and unexpected ways of studying.

I love meeting people from all walks of life and different countries. I am also passionate about supporting ākonga/students to develop independent library and research skills in their chosen fields.
