About

I graduated as a Veterinarian in Brazil (2007) and worked as a small animal Vet there until 2017, when I moved to New Zealand with my husband and kids. Here, I worked first on dairy farming and later as a Vet Nurse and Tech. In 2024, I joined Wintec as a Rural Animal Technician tutor. I also run a self-employed Mobile Vet Nursing business (homepetcare.co.nz) as a side job.

I love to go camping with my family, especially if it is by the beach. As a hobby, I grow a backyard veggie garden and sew dance costumes for my daughter. To keep my body going, I practice yoga and also go to the gym.

What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?

My biggest passion is working with animals, big and small. Being in a position where I can pass some of what I have learned and experienced to the new generation of animal technicians is a great reward.

What do you love about your area?

No animal is the same, no pet owner is the same, and no farm is the same. What I love the most in my area is that no recipe fits all; we always have a mental puzzle to sort out to provide the best option for each case.
