Fiona coordinates the Wintec horticulture training for apprentices and strategic partners throughout New Zealand.
Previously, Fiona worked as a regional tutor and progressed to programme coordinator for the horticulture centre and regional horticulture courses.

What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
Being in the privileged position of being able to share my passion and experience of the horticultural industry with tomorrows horticulturalists. I love all things growing and green.
What do you love about your area?
Tell us about your experience in the industry
I was the owner/manager of a commercial export blueberry orchard for 25 years and was also the manager of a blueberry marketing company responsible for local marketing. I have also owned and managed a landscape design and garden maintenance company that operated for ten years.
