About
After having worked as a veterinarian in Brazil for ten years, I decided to take a sabbatical year but ended up falling in love with New Zealand. After spending some time working at Massey University, I have now had the great pleasure of joining the Wintec | Te Pūkenga team. I feel proud to be able to contribute to the formation of capable and competent professionals. Outside of work, I like to go hiking, take care of my plants and venture into the world of crochet.

What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
I have enjoyed following the ākonga development and how they assimilate information and transform it into knowledge. I've always been a storyteller, and I'm happy to see how these stories, accumulated in almost 15 years of professional experiences, can collaborate with their learning process.
What do you love about your area?
I have a deep connection with veterinary medicine in its entirety, and as a tutor, being able to infect ākonga with the same passion is something that makes me happy.
Tell us about your experience in the industry
After completing a master's degree in veterinary science, I worked as a GP in a busy vet clinic and as an orthopaedic surgeon and tutor of practical classes at a private university in Brazil. In New Zealand, I have been working as a vet nurse, especially with the anaesthesia of small animals and horses.
