Rhys has worked across a range of primary-industry-based industries including pharmaceutical and vaccine production, applied research, and other commercial activities. He enjoys the team he works with as it is multi-faceted, and there are plenty of things to explore.

Research activity
Various projects with AgResearch and Caiqtest, including four soil and pasture microbial ecology outputs (2015-2017) and methods development for food testing laboratory (Caiqtest–2017). Currently evaluating the recording and analysing of NZ forest biophonies as a tool for ecological monitoring and the creation of engaging artforms (in collaboration with media arts centre).
