Research activity
Maryam’s main research interests are in the areas of groundwater/surface water interaction and water resources management.
In her PhD thesis, she investigated the applicability of fibre optic distributed temperature sensing
(FODTS) technique to characterize groundwater/surface water interaction in a range of rivers and streams in a variety of typical New Zealand hydrogeological settings. Maryam’s PhD was funded by GNS Science as part of SMART Aquifer Characterisation
(SAC) research programme.
