What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
Students at Wintec are amazingly talented. It is great to be part of their journey towards the creative industries.
What do you love about your area?
Moving image can be technically perfect, or it can be structurally perfect, or both – but what I love about moving image are the human moments – the parts where perfection has been undone by imperfection.
Tell us about your experience in the industry
I’ve worked in many areas, writing, direction, production design and editing. I love having this overall approach to industry as I don’t get pigeon-holed. Collaborating is the name of the game – no one makes film in a vacuum.
What keeps you busy outside of Media Arts?
WOW. I’m always busy. I say yes to far too many projects. But I like to keep busy, keep learning, keep working with new people. Filmmaking is a great journey. I’m working on several projects at the moment, VR, short film, interactive webseries, and a film feature…just to name a few.
