What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?
I enjoy helping students to problem solve their technical issues and providing them with an environment where they can maximise their potential as professional photographers.
What do you love about your area?
Tell us about your experience in the industry
I worked for eight years in a professional photographic studio before coming to work at Wintec. I have also had a long career as a motorsport photographer supplying images to a number of national and international publications, race and rally championships and individual drivers. I have been honoured to be named Motorsport NZ Photographer of the Year on four occasions.
What keeps you busy outside of Media Arts?
My motorsport photography career gives me plenty to do outside of Media Arts. There are always events to be planned for, photographed, edited and distributed. Researching and trying new photographic techniques takes me into some very interesting projects. Travelling for motorsport provides opportunities for my other main interest, landscape photography.
