What do you enjoy about teaching/your job?

Advancing students skills and competencies in graphic design, illustration, and contemporary fine art.

What do you love about your area?

The synergy between pedagogy and practice. I also enjoy participating in and facilitating creative discovery.

Tell us about your experience in the industry

I've had many successful supervisions and completions of postgraduate projects. Specific experiences include supervision of graphic novels, picture book illustrations, branding visual identity projects, and contemporary fine art projects.

I have a specific interest in pop and traditions associated with contemporary geometric abstraction.

Previously I have been an Alternative Art Space Director/Curator and involved with exhibitions nationally and internationally. Additionally, I've completed postgraduate research in semantics/language and mind and the visual arts.

What keeps you busy outside of Media Arts?

Curation, production, and exhibition of contemporary fine art. My research into the genealogies of geometrical abstraction in its historical and contemporary formulation.
