Sam Cunnane

I love how I get the opportunity to gather ideas from all sorts of people about what the future in creative fields may be like, and then work with our team to prepare our students to thrive when they graduate. I really enjoy getting to connect with a whole range of people, from students through to employers and arts practitioners.

The way the arts helps us think about the world in different ways, and has the potential to make the world a better place. Kind of cheesy I know, but it’s the stuff that makes life worthwhile.

My background is originally in Fine Art photography. I worked freelance for a bit, before discovering I loved teaching, and immersing myself in the education sector. Prior to Wintec I worked across secondary teaching and teacher education, as well as in national level resource development and assessment.
