Kia ora, my name is Jackie, and I am a Kaiawhina at Wintec. My background is in the trades industry. I was a men’s barber for 30+ years, then became a barber tutor at a private training academy in Hamilton.

I have a passion for helping people in any way I can support them. I enjoy nothing more than seeing students succeed in their learning journey from start to finish; it’s a proud moment not just for me to witness but for the student, their peers, and their extended whānau. It is important to enjoy your learning journey. Strong connections are made, and lifelong friendships are formed, it’s a great time in your life no matter how old you are, to extend yourself and reach for your goals.
