Spaces up for grabs in Wintec student accommodation
Looking for a place to live while studying this year? We still have spaces available in our two student accommodation options at Wintec.
Our brand new student accommodation block situated on our city campus provides modern, self-catered accommodation. It opened in early 2015 after being refurbished from an old teaching block and is home to more than 70 students each year.
The Wintec Apartments are built across three floors with each of the 12 apartments containing either five or six bedrooms, separate shower and toilet facilities and a full kitchen and dining area. Each level also includes a large common room and study area with shared laundry facilities and storage is available on the lower ground floor.
The development of the Wintec Apartments, has been part of our campus modernisation plan which has seen us spend $90m since 2003 on upgrading our facilities.
Our Wintec Student Village, home to around 80 students each year, is located a few minutes’ walk from the city campus. It’s a fully catered accommodation option offering 15 villa-style units each with five bedrooms.
While we have a range of domestic and international students stay with us, the self-catered style of the Wintec Apartments tends to attract more mature students wanting more independence. The Student Village, on the other hand, is aimed at students wanting more free time, a higher level of pastoral care including meals and a programme of social activities, and therefore often attracts school leavers or younger first year students.
Both accommodation options provide a safe, secure and comfortable living environment with 24 hour security and shared indoor and outdoor facilities. They offer close proximity to classes, food outlets and public transport in the heart of Hamilton’s CBD.
