Wintec Rotokauri campus is open today

Following an inspection this morning, the Rotokauri campus will re-open for business as usual today. All classes and events can run as scheduled.

There is still some peripheral flooding around the campus today, but nothing that affects access to and from the campus.  If you have any enquiries or matters to be raised please email facilities@wintec.ac.nz.

Thank you to all staff, students and visitors for your patience and cooperation yesterday during yesterday’s closure. 

Wednesday 6 April
4.30pm:
Our Rotokauri campus remains closed today (Wednesday 5 April) due to the flooding of the road access.

Early tomorrow morning we'll reassess the access  to the Rotokauri campus and a notification will be made at 7am  as to whether the campus is open or not.

11.30am:
Wintec's Rotokauri Campus is closed today (Wednesday 5 April) due to flooding on public roads to the campus, blocking access via Akoranga Road and Te Wetini Drive.

Water levels are rising and the forecast is for heavy rain. 

Staff, students and visitors have been advised to leave the campus. Classes are cancelled this afternoon (5 April) at the Rotokauri campus as well as events that were scheduled to occur today or tonight.
