Wintec | Te Pūkenga joins the Microsoft Learn for Educators Program
Wintec | Te Pūkenga Centre for Information Technology has announced participation in the Microsoft Learn for Educators program.
With access to the tools and materials included in the program, Wintec can offer industry-led courses for ākonga to obtain industry-recognized Microsoft certifications.Microsoft Learn for Educators takes the best of Microsoft Learn online learning paths and supporting instructor-led training materials and brings them into the classroom. By participating in the Microsoft Learn program, Wintec’s Centre for Information Technology tutors can access and deliver Microsoft ready-to-teach curriculum and teaching materials aligned to industry-recognized Microsoft Certifications.
“Access to the Microsoft teaching curriculum, course materials, and virtual labs is a game changer for our ākonga. It will enable us to help prepare our ākonga to be better equipped and graduate-ready in a challenging but exciting world in IT when they complete their studies with us," Dr Blaine Rakena, Team Manager for the Center for IT, Wintec Te Pūkenga, said.
These courses will provide students with tools and training to develop future-ready skills and arm them to take charge when they enter the job market; these advanced skills and industry-recognized Microsoft Certifications can help ākonga make a difference and empower them for the jobs of tomorrow.
Access to Microsoft Learn for Educators and offering a variety of Microsoft certification courses is a differentiator for Wintec Te Pūkenga in providing job-ready IT qualifications and a differentiator for students who learn these skills and enter the job market.
According to Global Knowledge, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are among the 15 top-paying IT certifications for 2021.
