Applicants can gain entry to this programme by meeting one of the following criteria:
General admission
- 40 credits at NCEA Level 1, including 10 Literacy credits and 10 Numeracy credits; or a recognised equivalent;
Or
- a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 2 or above; (for example New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) (Level 3); or New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership) (Level 3); or New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3);
Or
Special admission
Applicants who are at least 20 years of age or older who do not meet the general admission requirements above are eligible for special admission. We work to ensure they are prepared for their intended programme.
Discretionary admission
Applicants who are not yet 20 years of age and do not meet the general admission requirements stated above may be eligible for discretionary admission. In assessing whether to grant discretionary admission the primary focus will be on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate a likelihood to succeed in the programme.
English language requirements
International applicants are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5.5, with no individual band score lower than 5 from one test taken in the last two years, or equivalent described in NZQA Rules.
