    Wintec's Creative Showcase in November and December is a window into the creativity of Media Arts students from across the creative disciplines. The events celebrate the fresh talent and hard work of graduating Art and Design, Communication, and Music and Performing Arts students in front of an audience of peers, whānau and the wider community.

    The Wintec International Student Support team hosted fun, vibrant and diverse Diwali celebrations at the Wintec City and Rotokauri campuses, which included music, dance, henna, diya painting and traditional Diwali food and sweets.

  • Pacific ākonga share their voice

    Lumitugetha is our Pacific ākonga (learner) leadership group. They are a group of students who have either been recipients of our Peta Karalus Scholarships or they have demonstrated leadership qualities within our organisation.

    For four years, Wintec | Te Pūkenga has offered tailored professional development programmes for businesses. We've decided to share some of the epic testimonials coming from this space in a mini-series over the past few weeks. Our third focus is on Vestas New Zealand Wind Technology. Service Coordinator at Vestas, Karyn Brown, said Vestas Australian head office HSE department investigated all options available in New Zealand and decided on the Wintec course as the most suitable.

  • Wintec graduation ceremonies celebrate learner success

    It’s a wrap! More than 600 proud Wintec graduates were celebrated over two incredible days and four ceremonies at Claudelands GloBox Arena in Kirikiriroa. After months of meticulous planning and Covid delays, our graduates finally had the opportunity to have their day in the sun and be celebrated for their incredible achievements, dedication and hard mahi.

  • Wintec honours its top adult learners

    This week, as part of Adult Learners’ Week, He Tangata Matauranga (1-8 September), Wintec, a business division of Te Pūkenga, celebrated the success of its top adult learners. The Adult Learner Awards are a highlight of the Wintec calendar and were hosted in the Atrium on Wintec’s city campus. Five exceptional adult learners were honoured and celebrated. All had embraced their learning with enthusiasm and a drive to succeed, challenged themselves and supported others in their learning journeys.

  • Wintec flooded with students for Open Day 2022

    Passing showers didn’t dampen the spirits of the floods of excited prospective students who attended Wintec’s annual Tōia Mai Open Day this year. Held at both Wintec’s City and Rotokauri campuses on Friday 26, August, this year’s Open Day saw hundreds of potential ākonga (students) and their whānau come along to see what student life at Wintec could be like.
