Kaiāwhina
We know that coming to study at Wintec can be overwhelming for many. There are a lot of processes and services that you may need to navigate, even before your classes start.
Our kaiāwhina are often the first point of contact for those needing a friendly face to help navigate their way around. Kaiāwhina work closely with our teaching staff and are able to connect you to a range of support services available and host fun initiatives throughout the year.
We can help you with a wide range of things, including:
- Navigating processes
- Support to balance study and life
- Social and whānau events
- Connecting to other services such as Tuākana mentoring and Manaaki Pūkenga – Academic Learning Support
You will find our kaiāwhina in our Te Kete Manaaki space in the City Hub, the student space at Rotokauri Hub, as well as floating around campus and in and out of classes.
