Wintec Physiotherapy Scholarship
Background
The Wintec Physiotherapy Scholarships have been established to assist Māori and Pacific ākonga in undertaking full-time study in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Wintec. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, character, and cultural and community life.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be of Māori or Pacific descent,
- enrolled in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Conditions
Applicants will need to complete the online application form. A selection panel will assess all completed applications. The panel will include the Centre Director for the Centre of Health and Social Practice, Head of Physiotherapy, and a member of the Māori Achievement Unit.
The application must include:
- The completed application form,
- a written personal statement, video or voice recording outlining how this scholarship will assist the applicant in furthering their career aspirations (particularly in Māori health); how it will support their personal development and their potential contribution to the community,
- curriculum vitae, and
- your referee's completed online scholarship referee questionnaire. This can be completed by a teacher or principal, a tutor, an employer, or a community/church leader (not a relative).
Please note:
- Applicants may apply in either English or Māori.
- Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
