Applied Science
Wintec offers programmes for students who want to work as environmental scientists, biotechnologists, food technologists, or science technicians.Primary Industries
Studying arboriculture, horticulture, or landscape design or construction at Wintec means learning at purpose-built facilities at the Gardens Campus. Being located at the Hamilton Gardens provides an outstanding practical teaching resource. Students benefit from experienced, industry-respected teaching staff and the professional staff at the Hamilton Gardens.
Our Facilities: Horticulture Education Centre
The Gardens Campus offers:- 58 hectares of public garden and living classroom
- Two laboratory/studio teaching spaces
- Two horticulture practice barns
- Greenhouses
- Computer-Aided Drafted lab
Animal Technology
The animal technology team at Wintec offer programmes for students wanting to work in animal care - such as an animal controller, rural animal technician, or veterinary nurse.
Our facilities
The animal technology programmes are delivered from the Rotokauri campus, which features a veterinary surgery.
