Habit Health Māori and Pasifika Scholarship
Background
Habit Health is passionate about people, and we are committed to improving the diversification of health care delivery and in particular the representation of Māori and Pasifika in health professions through our scholarship programme
Eligibility
These scholarships are open to counselling, physiotherapy, clinical/health psychology, occupational therapy, and occupational health nursing students:
- Whakapapa Māori or are of Pacific Island descent;
- are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand; and
- are students enrolled in approved tertiary courses in New Zealand.
What we offer:
- Funding of $500 upon commencement of your second year of tertiary study.
- Funding of $2,000 upon commencement of your final year of study.
- A final year student placement with Habit Heath.
- Coaching and mentoring from a Habit Health employee in your chosen area of study.
- A paid summer internship at a Habit Health clinic prior to the start of your final year.
- Automatic shortlisting if you apply for our Graduate Programme.
Conditions
The application must include:
- A completed application form,
- a CV or alternative background profile,
- a video introduction about yourself and answers to our questions.
A summer internship will be offered to successful scholarship applicants for the summer break prior to commencement of their final year of study. Summer internships will vary in length from 4-8 weeks and between 30-40 hours per week and will only be available in select locations.
